Isn't Dublin just like how it was in the movie "Once"? Well, I finally have my own conclusion now.
I often thought of Ireland as maybe the smaller not as attractive sister of England.

Irish people are among the friendliest people that I've met. Japanese are very polite, Taiwanese are very helpful, German super efficient, Italian passionate and British all have a sense of humor. Irish are just downright friendly. From taxi drivers who would offer all sorts of sightseeing advice, to waitresses who chatted with us about their experiences in California, and even some random stranger on the street who took us into his church and gave us a tour.... people are very outgoing and friendly. Ah, also, Irish take their parties seriously. the commitment on their hen /stag parties is utterly respectful. Temple bar area transforms into party town central at night. The bars don't have light effects, smoke machines, too-cool hostesses and velvet lounges, just plain simple wood paneled bar furnitures and simple musicians playing pop tunes. Everybody in the area, everybody, is into this simple happiness. And they made sure even old tourists like us, are enjoying it as well.
just like other war-ridden countries, Ireland had its share of wars and famines. Even long after their effect, still casts a shadow on the cities' beautiful architecture. I want to love Dublin, but it needs to forget about the painful past first.
