Cliffs of MoherCliffs of MoherCliffs of Moher

1st Glimpse
We actually spent a good couple of months in Ireland, but only did a little bit of touristing (new word, thanks Garry!).

We rented a car for a few days and headed south west to Co Clare and Limerick. We spent a few nights in a small town called Doolin, and while there we checked out the Cliffs of Moher. We got our first glimpse of the cliffs which are pretty impressive. By the time we got to the next lookout platform, in typical irish fashion, the fog had come in pretty thick and fast and we could barely see 1m in front of us, as you can see from the pic's the cliffs had totally disappeared. But at least we saw them, a lot of people arrived just after us and didn't see a thing. We also took a day trip out to the Aran Islands, Inis Mor. We took a bus tour around the island which was great. Its the typical rural Ireland that people imagine all of Ireland to be like. From there we headed down to Limerick and spent our time getting lost on the back roads around Bunratty Castle! We don't really have many photos

apparently they are in the back ground somewhere. Fastest moving fog in the world!!
from Ireland but we thought we'd just post some for these few days.

As for London, we spent a few days doing the touristy sights there. We managed to get lucky and get some amazingly cheap ryanair flights, and had some lovely friends who put us up, thanks Nic & Matt for the place to stay! We put a few photos up of all the things we checked out but definitely worth going back for a longer holiday there.
