We set off early on the first morning to catch or flight to Reykjavik. We had no trouble getting through security and had time to sit down and grab some breakfast before getting on the plane. We arrived in Reykjavik a bit behind schedule, because of the bad weather in Dublin, our plane left late. This was at Pingvalla, at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. There are fissures everywhere because it's where the two plates are pulling apart.

Pingvalla is where the very first government sat.

There were massive trout in the river. We spotted a few as we were crossing the bridge.

The rock cooled in columns so it looks like someone just built it!

That evening, we were so late getting out for dinner and so hungry, we just went into this really dark bar and had a burger. The burgers were so good!
