So. Iceland is crap. Now is a good time to come though, since the krona is at an all-time low! What that means for us on the skerry is higher prices - the US dollar is now at around 80 krona - a few weeks ago it was around 60, so that's 30%!r(MISSING)ight there. The euro is at 125 - bfore it was around 90. Over 30%!t(MISSING)here. What this means for me is a huge fucking increase in travel costs this summer (unless the euro dips again -please, oh please let it dip). I had written down info on some museums and parks I want to visit, and so far the costs have risen at least 30%! (MISSING)Possibly even more in some places, since not all the countries I'll be visiting are euro-countries.

I am therefore panicking. Should I buy euros now in case the rate rises, or should I wait to see if it dips again?

Perhaps I should put all this in perspective. My monthly salary (for five hours a day, five days a week) is around 115.000 krona. Last month that was:

1.769 US dollars
or
1.292 Euros
or
955 Pounds

Today, my measly 115.000 can buy:

1.438 US dollars
or
918 Euros
or
723 Pounds.

That's a big fuckin' pay cut.
