Hello all,
I am recently returned from Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna. This post is going to be on the Budapest portion of our stay which covered the first couple of days of our seven day tour.

I will first say that the highlights of Budapest were the big buildings, there were several large ones, the castle, the dinner on the Danube, the nightlife, but most importantly, the fact that i threw Medieval European Ninja stars in various shapes and sizes and threw spears as well while at a castle where at one time these things were commonplace. You were supposed to pay, but after I paid and threw the first type of ninja star I must have so obviously been having an absolute ball that the girl in charge of the things just started handing me various impliments of destruction (yes Im taking from Alice's) and while i can honestly say that that was probably a bad idea, I had a blast sinking sharp metal objects into poor unoffending tree-trunks for about five minutes, at which point the booth ran out of things for me to throw at which point I graciously went and retrieved an armload of cast iron

The three guys on the right were my roomates for most of the trip. Stola on the left is appropriatly wiping his nose, he came sick and shared it with half the class, the teacher got it so bad he could hardly speak.
shapes and the three, javelins?, or whatever the long metal tipped wood things are called. Then I ran to catch up with the rest of the class.

Far too much happened to write about everything so I will just narrate the pictures some, wich should cover at least a couple of the high points.

There are more pictures still from Budapest not to mention Vienna but they will have to go up in a couple of days

I was immensly amused to see the local kids using one of Pest's top attractions as an afterschool makeout spot/clubhouse. In this picture you can see the guy and girl going at it as well as the others lurking about under the statues as hundreds of tourists in multiple tour groups stare at them (or rather the statues above them)

I swear that half the statues in hungary are of the same seven men, they are the ones who supposedly set up Hungary's first government. You can see my class bottom right. But these guys are seen at castles churches and city squares alike.

There where a lot of small cars, and parking jobs got interesting, these two vehicles have chosen to park either half on and completely on the sidewalk.

Caption really captures the essence of the situation, broken promises and a pay cut to doctors and teachers is the cause of this unrest, we missed the actual demonstrations, this is just leftover signage (mostly bottom left) with a couple of people handing out fliers and holding down the fort until the demonstrations resumed that afternoon.
