Atheism

I researched the religion of no religion, Atheism. I found this religion interesting by how there is a big chunk of people that believe in no God/gods. I found out that Atheism was first introduce in Greece around 6th century BCE. So I was shocked when Atheism had played a big role of people lives, and some just didn't believe. So of course the atheist were sort of persecuted for not believing or having faith in a religion. Atheism back then was influenced by philosophy, which is the reasoning or logical thinking, and people started to think if this is real if it can be a logical explanation. A reason why atheism spread was because the French Revolution because people started to stop practicing religion and it spread throughout Europe, Asia, basically the Eastern World. The today's status on Atheism is that there are many atheist, it is estimated that one-fifth of the world are atheist, which is a pretty big number that is around 1.2 billion people.
