Question: What is the current political structure/government in this country/region? Who has power, and how do those in power interact with their people (political theme)?

Greece's government is Parliamentary Republic. Parliamentary Republic is the separation and balance of the branches' powers. The branches include Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. The government has a President, Cabinet, Prime Minister, and Ministers. There are two legislatives in Greece. The first one is Parliament and the second one is the President of the Republic.

Currently, Greece is being ruled by Karolos Papoulia. The President is elected for five years. The President has the right to veto laws. This is similar to our government. In addition, to the President there is a Prime Minister, Cabinet, and there are Ministers. The Prime Minister is George Papandreou. He is responsible for the rules of the law. While the Cabinet and Ministers are responsible for the rules of the government.
