View from Ancient Thira
They knew how to pick a good spot back then. We lost all of our pictures on Naxos and had one day to replace them. ): But if you want to see Naxos pictures they are on the Naxos blog.
SANTORINI-LICIOUS Santorini's bleached, white-stuccoed, clifftop village overlooking the most amazing caldera you've ever seen - its many restaurants with live greek music, seafood, and local specialties (ie "fried tomato balls") - and its endless black sand beaches that lead to the strange sensation of smooth volcanic rock nce you step into the water - has made this stunningly beautiful island one of our all time favorites.
We took a sailing boat tour of the entire caldera, stopping for a hike to the top o the volcano - a quick dip in volcanically-heated hotsprings (where Erin so eloquently commented "I feel like I'm swimming in egg salad") - and a lunch of grilled octopus on the island of Thirassia. At the end of the tour we were dropped off in Oia to explore and to watch the famous sunset. Oia is gorgeous! I spent a summer there a few years ago, and it is just as beautiful as I remember. Future Homestead
So after reviewing all of your blogs and photos, I am still wondering where we are going to set up our restaurant/massage/facial/waxing/video editing shop? I'd say Greece, Italy, Spain, or Croatia? Love you guys hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!
