Lefkada island

Greece

Lefkada island

It is one of the most beautiful Greek islands easy accessible by car, increasingly discovered by tourists in the recent years. It belongs to the Ionian Islands group and you will be amazed by its unique beaches. The island’s capital is by itself an attraction, with quaint narrow alleys and a beautiful harbor. Enjoy a stroll through! Do not forget to visit the archaeological museum, the castle of Santa Maura and the park of poets! Make sure you explore walking around and take a picture of yourself on the wooden bridge of the harbor!

Porto Katsiki beach

One of the most famous beaches in Greece due to its incredible natural beauty. It is this unique beauty that has classified it as one of the six most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. Up to the 90s, the visitors could approach the island only by boat but ever since access became possible by road too. Remember that it is a crowded beach, so it is advisable to visit it early in the morning or afternoon. Keep in mind that you have to climb down about 90 steps to reach the beach but the unique view will reward you. The light emerald color of the sea blends harmoniously with the rock, giving the visitor a truly unique view. We also highly recommend you to enjoy the sunset, watching the sun sink in the crystal waters of the Ionian Sea!

Agios Nikitas beach

A small picturesque village which has one of the most beautiful beaches of the island and is about 14 kilometres from the capital. The area in recent years has become well known and the beach every summer is filled with people, of course, not unfairly, as the natural beauty will astonish you.

Sivota

Picturesque fishing village situated about 30 km from the capital of the island. Sivota is built under a hill and the beach is lovely. That is why the area is bustling with people during the summer months. Hotels, apartments and restaurants are available to visitors. The picturesque harbor is worth a walk and we definitely advise you to taste fresh fish.

Nikiana

It is a seaside village in the island of Lefkada just seven kilometers away from the capital. The area offers good infrastructure and organization for your holidays with several beaches close by. It remains a quiet lush place ideal for relaxation. In Nikiana there is a beautiful route of about three kilometers, the Akonis area, where you can explore up close the remainings of two water mills!

Vassiliki

It is one of the most beautiful villages of Lefkada, located in the southern part of the island approximately 40 kilometers away from the capital. The area is full of green, while the sand and the emerald sea waters offer one of the best natural beauty sceneries! The seaside of Vassiliki is one of the most suitable beaches of the Mediterranean for windsurfing. The nearby islands of Ithaca and Kefalonia are easily accessible by boat . The area is well thought organized with hotels, rooms , café and restaurants at your disposal if you decide to spend your holidays there.
