You’ll find it at a distance of 16 km from the city of Chania. It is a historic place of Crete, since there was the landing spot of German paratroopers who invaded Crete in 1941, in the start of the Battle of Crete in World War II. Maleme today is a beautiful seaside tourist destination with good infrastructure. The village has a beautiful sandy beach and the visitor will find many options for entertainment and good food.
