This is at the ancient Delphi site and there was a little tunnel that they went through and this is where they came out... the tunnel was super small, so only a few people made it through
Well I would have to say that today was one of the best days yet! This morning we went to all the ancient sites in Delphi... And there are a lot considering it is a very small town. There are two different sites for the ruins... Both different parts of the ancient city. The pictures that I will put up soon will show and explain these sites better. But they included the site of the Delphi oracle, the naval of the world (Zeus let 2 eagles go in opposite directions and wanted to see where they crossed to find the center of the world, and it was in Delphi that they crossed), the Tholos, and many others! So we spent the morning there and then went to the museum, which, again just had a lot of old artifacts, some pretty neat things. But again, the thing that just amazes me the most about these museums in Greece is the amount of stuff that they have! It seems like every city has a museum with artifacts from ancient civilizations... It is truly amazing! Another thing that was really cool when we were walking around was to think that we were at the

This was right away when we got the the ancient site... and this was also the place where they gave votive offerings to Apollo
same place that Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle once walked. That is another amazing thing about being here is that we walking the same steps that these famous people did before Jesus was born! Then, we went to a restaurant that overlooked the valley and the Gulf of Corinth, that was pretty good. Then this afternoon we hiked up this insanely tall mountain! It was almost a 3 mile hike and it was really uphill... But the view was totally worth it! It was amazing up there!! But I know I'm going to feel it in my legs today, especially because this morning we walked 4 miles (I'm wearing my pedometer every day to see how far we walk) and then another 6 miles round trip for the mountain... Lots of good exercise 😊 But yea, that view on the mountain was amazing! We could see the Pelopenese and the mountains there... So we could see pretty far... It was so cool! So yea, that's why today was so amazing was because of that awesome hike! And I will get pictures up soon because they will be able to it way better than I can explain it!

This is where the eagles that Zeus let go, crossed... so it was supposedly the center of the world... this isn't the actual rock that was there, it is a replica... the real one is in the museum and there's another picture later of it.

This is a wall in Delphi and the rocks have been pieced together perfectly... And they are all different sizes... and the next picture is an up close one, and notice the inscriptions and they are on every rock there.

This is where the Pythain games were held... They were kinda like the Olympics except they were for the fine arts.

This is at the theater at Delphi... They decided to go down to it when we were up high and sing... and we could here them... It was really funny because there were lots of people around and here they are just singing loudly in this theater
