We had breakfast at a café near the hotel. Matthew enjoyed having traditional German sausages for breakfast!

We then went on a free walking tour around Munich, which was excellent! We watched the Glockenspiel - apparently the second most overrated tourist attraction in Europe! We learnt lots about the history of Munich and what there is to see, we will definitely have to return one day!

We had a late lunch at a German beer hall. Then we walked around some more. We were quite impressed how calm the horses guarding the Englisher gardens were, particularly compared to the ones in London. We also enjoyed exploring the Rathaus, finding the Judicial Library, which was a hidden gem. Grandad, Matt, Mum and I went up the Rathaus tower, which had amazing views over the city to the Austrian Alps.

We then collected our luggage and went to the station to train to Salzburg. We got into our hotel late and went to bed.
