I had authentic German food in Munich, a sobering day trip to the concentration camp Dachau, two days alone exploring the sights of Berlin and an up-and-down night out in the city in our last country of the month-long trip. On the same square as the Brandenburg Gate is this famous hotel, where Michael Jackson once dangled his baby for the press.

The famous glass dome is kind of visible in this shot. It was built so visitors could look down and literally keep an eye on the government at work.
