Well, to celebrate our last Sunday together, Anna, Brittany, Kara and I set out last Sunday to get some (ironic) Mexican food and ended up decided that we wanted to play in the fountains at Albertplatz and then get into the Elbe River near Old Downtown- so we did! It was pretty awesome, since it was so hot that day, and splashing around in the water was definitely something that was spontaneous and fun and a memory worth keeping forever. <3 We also stopped at a photobooth and each got a strip of 4 photobooth photos, so I'll definitely be putting those up on my wall when I go to camp to remind me of all the great times I had here!
I've only got 3 more days left of teaching and observing, and for that, I'm grateful. It's been a lot of work these last 4 weeks- I love it here in Germany, and I don't want to go back home, but I'll be happy when my workload is finally gone, because it really has been pretty intense. And I'm very grateful that I've gotten to see so many amazing, beautiful sites and meet so many wonderful people. I'll
probably cry as I'm on my way home, that's how much I don't want to leave. I didn't think I would love Germany so much, since it was never something that really interested me, but I guess that just shows you how awesome it is here. 😊)
