Inside the Italian restaurant
Today was a pretty uneventful day for me. Anna and I had our last TUD observation of the week today, which was a Bioengineering class. We managed to come in again just as they were doing a role-play presentation, this time a seminar where they gave information about Hepatitis B and the link to cancer and cures. The teacher was really nice and awesome, and we just sat in the back of the classroom by two of the students and listened to the simulation seminar. It was really cool and they did really well.

We hit up the grocery store again (we have to go so often because we just can't carry that much!) and then Anna and I ventured past old downtown to find this Italian restaurant that the other girls went to last night when we were teaching. We ended up getting there JUST as the storms hit, so they closed everything up (the patio seating). The waiter spoke Italian but ended up asking another employee how to say things in English so he could say "you're welcome" and "please enjoy your meal" to us in English. Very cute! And the food was delicious.

Then we found a drug store, which we needed, because I was out of soap, and we also found the equivalent of the dollar store, the 1 euro store! askjfsfjkjd lmao it was so awesome omg. It's like the 100 yen shop, I love those places, you can find such hilarious and awesome stuff there.

We're pretty proud of ourselves for getting around on our own so well. I've got the train routes that go from our stop down pat, so that's pretty impressive, I feel. And I moved some money around so that I can get more cash out tomorrow, using the rest of my Germany savings fund, since I've only got 3 weeks left now! Wow, I can't believe I've been here a week already. So insane. Mostly because I still don't really feel like I'm in Europe! I just feel like I moved to a new town. This is very bizarre. I wonder when it'll hit me?

We leave for Berlin tomorrow! And from there, we go straight to Potsdam, so there will probably be like a massive update on Sunday night or something haha. We'll see how much internet I can save for Skyping with mom and
