Toni and I have been thinking about what we enjoyed most and least and wished we had experienced and glad we didn't experience during our vacation: a + means we enjoyed or glad we did it; a - means we wished we had done it
- take a Turkish bath
+ went back to the Acropolis and Parthenan again!
+ going to Lausanne rather than driving in the French countryside
+ not going to Pergaman
+ spending lots of time on the Ile d' St Louis
+ spending time with Rob and Terry
+ seeing a movie in Dijon
- taking the cheapest Bosphorus ferry tour
+ not worrying about how much things cost
+ taking private tours in Athens and Istanbul
+ doing the blog
+ we didn't feel the need to rush around and be a typical tourist
+ being with Martha and Felix in Paris
+ being with Martin, Claudia and Sophia in Fulda
- taking the 1st class seats from Lausanne to Paris
- consfusion of the Paris Metro and train system
- taking a taxi from Gare Lyon to Charles de Gaulle
+ meeting up with Andrew Easton in Paris
+ packing light and discarding old clothes as we moved on
+ taking more photos (memory is cheap and deleting is easy)
+ hanging out with the Hunters in Athens and Istanbul - we really have a good time together
+ going to the piano concert on the Ile de St Louis instead of the Mozart Requiem (although both would have been great and we could have done both)
+ trying Ouzo
