Alice states that if all the women married to the men that were in the prison would release and surrender their guns then the Turks would let their husbands go. One of the person their even told Alice that even if they don't have guns then they should buy them and turn them to the government. As the end, a message from Constantinople stated that they have received 10,000 guns. However, those guns were brought in by the women, but Turks stated that they were not and would not release any of their husbands back to them. Instead so, they murdered them and butchered them and buried them in a big grave outside the city. After the men were the killed, they later then grabbed the women and murdered them as well, they butchered them according to Alice. In the end, the women lost. They had promised to them that if they turned guns in that they would return their husbands back to their families, but they didn't. They ended up killing everyone and using them.
