Another unexpected diversion in life - and my trip - has taken place. I was only in Berlin about 10 days last summer before having to rush back to the states. Left the USA on October 10, 2006 and at the time of writing (May 24, 2008) I have no definite plans of going back for a while. Too much of the world to see, too many new friends to make, too many new cultures and languages to understand. Work can wait. My life can not. My father and I were indeed together, but only in southern Germany. I was in Iceland alone before I met up with him, as it was, you know, on the way.... :-)
