This lady owns the hotel in Munich were we stayed, and she rides a 1300 BMW.
Riesen Haare! Riesen Musik! Riesen Spass!

That is the description for the musical Hairspray. Roughly translated it means : Big (or huge) hair, big music, big fun. And it certainly was. Although Lizzie doesn't speak German, she understood every word because she has seen the movie so many times (and sings along with the CD). And although we did not get home until nearly midnight and we still had to pack and catch a train this morning, it was worth it.

So now we are on the train to Immenstadt, just a wee little town in southern Germany between Munchen und the Bodensee, or Lake Constance as we call it, on our way to Switzerland. And we aren't even staying in town but out in the country at a little Inn run by the Family Herper. But it's right across the road from what is called the Alpsee Coaster. Its not a roller coaster as we know it, but individual cars that only go down the hill and then a ski lift like device carries them back up to the top again. Looks like a lot of fun. We'll be able to tell you in a couple of hours.

It was right on the road but our room was in the back, so kein Problem (no problem).

Actually we aren't but halfway up the hill, but we are at the top of the coaster and looking down.  Can't see valley below, the farm houses are actually on the opposite side.

Here's a scary thought, the signs instructed you to keep a 25 meter (marked at the top so yo could judge) distance between you and the next car - except  when the track was wet or ICY and then you stay 50 meters apart.

Over a mile, and one huge smile, later I am back on terra firma.
