Today, even though I was still tired from yesterday, I went with a group of friends from school to see the first Nazi concentration camp - Dachau Konzentrationslager. The prisoners were forced to build 32 new barracks so that the camp could accomodate more prisoners.

This is where the Nazis put the bodies before they burned them. When the US forces liberated the camp, they found 3000 corpses in this room. The Nazis had run out of coal.

All four of the new furnaces. The corpses were so thin and malnourished (usually 35 kilos) that the Nazis could burn 3-4 at once.

Entrance to the gas chamber. The Nazis told the prisoners that they were taking showers. Luckily, for some reason, the gas chamber in Dachau wasn't used very much. Reportedly, there were never any mass killings in it.

Lice were spreading diseases very badly at one time so the Nazis put up these posters. It says "One lice, your death" They had routine checks for lice and anyone found with even one was executed.
