This was my highlight of Germany - the Mercedes Benz Museum! Mom and Kris were not too keen to go here, but I was so extremely excited to see all the cars. We took two trains to get there and when we jumped off the train we had a looooong walk to the museum but it was actually kinda interesting coz on our way we saw these boys doing graffiti on the wall - radical dude😊

We arrived at the museum and it was huuuuuge. The building is only three years old and very modern in design. It actually had a very futuristic look about it. I couldn't wait to spend my day touring this place learning about the beginnings of mechanized transportation. We had to follow a queue, which as we were there early in the day, was not too long. We walked through the space age foyer to get our tickets, which were really reasonable only 4Euro for mom and free for us as we were 'kids' and it also came with a free audio guide. Then there was this coat place - where they hang your coats, hats and gloves during the tour and it was so professional - but hey this is Europe! nothing less should be expected😊
We then made our way to the luxurious lift which looked like it belonged in a sci-fi movie - cool. The tour starts from the highest floor of the museum and then you can either walk down to each level or take the lift. The top floors start with the beginning of motoring and each floor from there on progresses till you get to the ground floor with cars of the future. There is also a timeline on each floor to show you what was going on in the world during that time. By the time we were on the 2nd floor, mom and Kris were bored and tired. I have to admit it was really tiring(good thing we did not have our hats and jackets with us!!!) but I was not ready to leave anytime soon!!! It was so cool to see how the different cars improved over time. By this time Kris was in a mood because mom and I moved onto another floor without telling her and she thought she was lost, so for the rest of the tour of the museum she was moving around with a 'fowl's bum' face and would not talk to us, but then at the bottom floor there was this cool racing car simulator which mom said we could go on, so no more pulled face as this was more her thing. It cost 4 euro each to go on it but it was aweuuum!!!When we returned our audio guides, we got to keep the lanyards with the Merceds Benz logo as gifts.
