Just had to write and tell you we are now in Paris. We arrived very late last night after being in transit for about 24 hours and are still trying to adjust to the jet lag. We are really pleased with the hotel that I prebooked. Its in the Latin Quarter and is quite roomy for a Parisian hotel and has a nice view of some typically European/French style buildings. Its also within easy walking distance to a variety of cafes, restuaurant, grocery stores etc. Had a great breakfast this morning of pastries and coffee which was a nice change from fish, soup and rice. We are having a bit of a rest day today. Did some washing this morning and will spend the day strolling the streets and taking in the atmosphere. We have just walked from the Latin Quarter along the Siene to Notre Dame, popped in for a quick Stella a neaby bar and are now on our way to the west side of town to stroll the streets near the Tour de Eiffel and dine on a menu du jour for lunch.
