We started our journey northwards along a very attractive road through vineyards and avenues of ancient trees to the pretty village of St Martin-de-Londres. It has a small early Romanesque church squeezed in amongst surrounding buildings and set on top of a hill.

There was a camper stop in the village but we decided to move on and also later rejected another stopping place outside the town of Le Vigan by an ancient bridge. The mountainous road we then followed was supposed to give excellent views but unfortunately the weather closed in and we were in mist most of the time!

We eventually stopped at Florac where we had spent the night about a week ago.
