In mist and rain we drove 250k south through increasingly mountainous country to an aire in the village of Florac.
On the way we got a good view of the Viaduc de Garabit built by Gustave Eiffel of tower fame to carry the newly constructed railway over the River Truyere. We last saw it when we were doing a tour of the Auvergne about 40 years ago.
