Tuesday 9 August

Not much sleep as we lost the hour and were woken up at 5.45 for a 6.45 arrival at Caen. Thought Freddie might be left on boat as we had difficulty in waking him up. Drove until 8.30 and then stopped for a French breakfast at a bar with a friendly owner. Went to local boulangerie to buy bread and award winning brioche. Completed trip and arrived at L’Oceon Bretton campsite just south of the village of Plobannalec at lunchtime to be greeted by Tony and Terry, the Caravan and Camping Club rally marshals. Had lunch with our delicious brioche in the sunshine, set up our site and then went swimming in the excellent pool on the site.
