19th August
On 11th August we went on to St Andre and spent the afternoon and night by the lake. Next day we went up to launch as Phil was going to fly. The wind was doing strange things with a lot of turbulence at landing and as there was an unfavourable forecast for the next few days we gave up on that idea and decided on Plan B. Off to Laragne and camping, hurrah!
We have spent the last few days chilling and catching up with friends. I have been on a couple of long walks with my sister, nothing too big as it has been very hot. Phil flew on Wednesday with a 20kmh south wind, he flew 140km north up over the Glandas “south end of the Vercors” then south to Montagne de Gauche then back to camping for a well earned beer.
I am driving for the Belgian paragliding competition for the next week so I will be a bit busy, but hopefully Phil will be able to fly if the weather is good.
