Saturday 18th June
We left Laragne in glorious sunshine, arrived in the Queyras in pouring rain. We went for a walk yesterday past the Cascade de la Pisses (yes, another one) up to Lake St Anne. It was beautiful to start with but started raining when we got up to the lake. The weather closed in and we were very wet and bedraggled by the time we got back to Myrtle. It continued raining all night and is now set in for the day. Real English weather I am so pleased we are not in a tent!
We drove up through the gorges to Chateau Queyras and will stay overnight at Col Agnel on the Italian border where we hope to do it a bit more walking, if it ever stops raining.
