We drove round the outskirts of the large naval port of Brest and then onto the beautiful Crozen Peninsular. A small road took us to the summit of Menez-Hom a 330m high hill at its eastern inland end which gave good views of the whole peninsular.
Then we travelled its length to the attractive port of Carmaret-sur-Mer on the western end. We found the nice aire situated above the town next to a group of ancient standing stones. Surprisingly it was warm enough to eat our lunch al fresco. In the afternoon we had an excellent walk into town and then along the cliffs past the Pointe du Touliinguer which brought us back to the van.
