Valence to Montelimar

I'm soooooo happy!I'm soooooo happy!I'm soooooo happy!

If you know Rachel, you will know how happy she was to find the world's largest jar of Nutella. It was hard to pry it out of her little hands....
Well, after a 12 hour sleep, we all woke up rested and ready for some action! Unfortunately, it had rained overnight and was expected to rain more during the day. We ate breakfast and then the rain stopped. We squeezed in a run along the trail by the river (which Nigel had scoped out last night) and then headed out to Montelimar for the afternoon.

sweaty and then we headed for home. We found a boulangerie close to our house and picked up a fresh baguette and some croissants. Back home for dinner followed by a bike ride to the park where the kids and Nigel bested their personal records on the obstacle course.

The driving here is very scenic. We basically drove along the Rhone River south today, surrounded on both sides by mountains. We saw quite a few vineyards along the roads and got our first sighting of a huge field of sunflowers! Next time I'll get photos when the sun is out!
