Hi Folks As Ronnie has hit a creative block, I am writing this entry for him. Arrived in the city of Nice in southern France. Had to do a lot of reasearch to find accommodation that was cheap for 2 nights. Settled on Ibis Hotel near airport with private parking for the Kangoo. Dumped car, checked in and then headed into Nice for a look around. The weather was cloudy and cold. Had something to eat and came back to hotel to research best way into Monaco. Next day got up and took local bus to bus station (in the pouring rain) and caught local bus to Monaco. It didn't stop raining all day but still visited palace, casino and walked around the old town. Place was full of scaffolding for the Grand Prix in May. It was still great to see it as it was one of the milestones on our itinerary.
I am back, as Eunice said Monaco rained all day didnt stop us though did our usual city tour albeit in one of the mock trains that places like Butlins made popular but as it was Monaco a little more chic. Top tip save yourself cash and use

local transport. Dont use tourist trap operators, local buses are much more fun and you can save a fortune.
Finished with France now for the moment, now off along the coast to Italy not a clue where we are heading or where we will be staying dangerous stuff for a couple old gits. To add to excitement we decide to try our now tainted hand at camping again. We find a great site in Diano Marino called Villa Rosa checked through eunice's compliance list of must haves in site all pased with flying colours, carried out an exposed skin test for mozzies and passed, result. now for a trip into the unknown. Bikes are off rack blocked the road with all our stuff how did it all fit in a Kangoo?. What did that tent look like, how do you put it together was all things flashing through my mind being almost a camping virgin. Got to put on a good show to an expectant audience of seasoned Italians. The pitching of tent all came flooding back and was up in no time at all, old hand now after only second time in my life. Consider myself an expert tent

pitcher now. All my new gear on show could easily have been stalled at camping show. Great little Italian seaside town, nice walks, good cycling and it was claimed a world champion pizza restaurant and they had certificates to prove it. I have to say they were really good and went two nights in a row. Stayed in campstite fo three nights of really good fun, weather was great also. We even managed our first Skype session with Susan and Simon. Sampled some of the local wine and Grappa great few days would do this again.
