Lovely week spent in Cannes, France, enjoyed some decent weather and did a bit of shopping.

Cannes is a small, world-wide famous French town on Cote d'Azur, with a population of about 70.000 inhabitants. I guess that half of the population must be working in real estate, as there are real estate agencies at every street corner, advertising places for sale or rent, ranging from studio flats (98.000 euroes the cheapest) to thousand and million euroes mansions!!

Rue d'Antibes is where all the expensive designer shops are and I was in luck! Clothes were on sale, so could afford to do some shopping!

Got to know there isn't only glamour in Cannes, as I came across a dodgy, run-down African neighbourhood with teenage kids playing football in the street. It reminded me of the wretchedly poor slums I saw in Colombia a year ago.

Vallauris, a 10-minute ride from Cannes is a nice, very French town where they produce and sell ceramics to tourists and as it happened, the day I went to visit the local market, they had some sort of parade with people wearing clothes from the 17th-a8th century.Very cool to watch!
