Next we spent a few days visiting chateaus in the Loire Valley because we always felt we didn't have enough time last time we were in France. We visited 3 chateaux this time, Chambord, Ussy and Villandry. Each have different selling points! Chambord is the roof and the coolest staircase, a double spiral where the 2 spirals never meet, and designed by Leonardo da vinci. Ussy is said to have inspired the Sleeping Beauty fairytale and has dioramas depicting the story and Villandry is famous for its gardens.
