When Dave and Gill came to spend the week with us, this is what we did.....

And then we had lunch.....

Then the potager....

We walked from Pereille
....and there it is, the other side of the valley

On the potager again...
David helped prune the vineyard (all 6 vines), and the fig tree

...while Gill supervised....
....which she did uncomplainingly

We walked the long way round...
....to La Bastide for lunch at Le Joug, and paid attention to the road signs

After lunch....
....we walked round the village......

Off to Montsegur!
When Gill and Dave saw this view of Montsegur from the road, they didn't know they would be climbing it later

Beautiful little town, built from Toulouse brick. Great market too.

Rando at Quie near Tarascon
It was great to have our first visitors, but by Sunday there was a long hike to face. We climbed best part of 2000 feet in a pretty short space of time

Our best companion of the day....
....was Alain's dog, who bounded ahead, eagerly going after thrown sticks. At the end, his bright eyes and enthusiastic demeanour clearly showed him saying 'That was fun! Shall we do it again?'
