It is the Louvre. The only really important thing to say is that Eric and I not only did not spend a signifcant amount of time in line, but we also were the first people that day to buy our tickets. Hint: do not bring a bag.

Medieval Louvre
This is an exhibit showing the medieval fortress built directly under the Louvre and the archaeological developments down there. It was discovered when they built the glass pyramids, so at least they are good for something.

Man Built into a Washingmachine
Egyptians loved washingmachine people. They made this in honor of them.

An Egyptian Goat-man
It's part man, part Goat. I thought Jell might like this one.

This is a neoclassical statue of a man getting pwn't.

More Pwnage
This guy is getting pwned by a tiger that is very small.

Saint George
He's heroically combatting a dragon in the stereotypical fashion. This is from the medieval section and by default better than any more recent counterpart.

Morbid Guy
This is also from the medieval section. I think the idea is to show the corruptablity of the earthly. It's one of my favourite pieces.

Represent Akkads.

I like this guy a lot.

Really Big Painting
This painting is not of exceptional quality, although it is very very large. Note the Eric for scale.

Scepter of Charles V
Charles V ruled with this scepter.

Medieval Ivory Building
This is a very large intricate sculpture of a building made out of ivory.

Medieval Chess Set
This is the most beautiful chess set I have ever seen. It is basically a very ornate glass box, and there are decorations underneath every square on the board, and a diorama running along the outside.
