Yesterday, we went to the Decorative Arts Museum (at the Loevre) to see the Vionnet exhibition. Madeleine Vionnet was a very important haute couture designer in the early 20th century. She was obsessed with preventing her work from being copied so she developed very complex designs that she hoped could not be copied. The exhibit was fantastic. So, the following day, we learned how to copy several of her designs. We copied the patterns, sized them for the half scale dress form, and constructed them. Vionnet would not be happy.....but we are!

Molly-- are these experiences making you interested in apparel design or sewing? Looks like you are right there with the students learning as they go along. That's great!

Cool
Hi, all. You are really doing some neat projects. I don't blame you, Raymond, for not joining in. Raymond, did you see Efron's new do? He cut his hair. I like it. It is brushed back from his forehead. He looks hot. But I thought he looked hot no matter what. Just like you!!! Yes, Molly. Are you ready to do some designing? Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy. Love, Sue
