Galleria Lafayette (Department Store)

Highlight(s)

• Crepes - can't believe we were in Paris 36 hours before having crepes
  
• Musee d'Orsay with Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, et al all in one place
  
• Old bookshops and antique stores in the Latin Quarter
  
• Joc was almost hyperventilating at the quality and volume of the products at Galleria Lafayette
  
• Michel's Gelati count - 18 (spotted a gelati shop today but we were full of crepes)
  
• Joceline's Italian / French Coffee count - 23
  

Odd Spot(s)

• Why do they call it French Toast when we're in France?
  
• We had a great dinner at a small authentic Thai place just near the hotel. The owner was saying that they really had to tone down the chilli to cater for the local taste.
  

Weather

Overcast and 20 degrees with rain late in the afternoon.

Street Clean
Gutters are regularly flushed with water to cleanse dirt and litter from Paris streets. It is a difficult sight to embrace coming from such intense drought conditions.
