typing on a different looking keyboard, we are inside an internet cafe in a mcdonalds outside versailles-and yes, the number 3 combo is a royale with cheese, though we dared not eat mcdonalds in paris--especially when we've discovered the croque monsieur. a brief rundown of events is listed below, as we've been spoiled by american keyboards and the placement of letters on home row

day 1: eiffel tower, napoleons tomb, picnic on the champs de mars, lunch at a rue cler cafe where there was not a single person who spoke english so we guessed at what we were eating

day 2: mass at notre dame, a tour of the cathedral, tour of the paris archaeological crypt, hiked to the top of sacre couer, toured the chapel, strolled along montemarte, drank wine and had traditional parisian onion soup at a montemarte cafe --near the original club where edith piaf inspired paris during world war II, climbed to the top of the arc de triomphe for a view of paris at night

day 3: toured the louvre-mona lisa lived up to our expectations, toured the l'orangerie museum, seine riverboat cruise at night, dinner at a rue cler bistro

day 4: Versailles---all day.....and well worth it--that marie antoinette was one spoiled gal

france has been incredible so far. we already hope to come back as we have found parisians to be very pleasant and polite.
