This was a long hot hard day in the saddle ( 68 miles ), Paul wanted to push on a little further so we headed towards a town as we tracked the river Seine, assuming there would be places to stay.. The challenge The aim for the intrepid team is to cycle from Ashtead pond in Surrey to Lake Annecy in the French Alps, a distance of around 600 miles. The leaving date is Sunday 1st May 2011 and we hope to arrive on Wednesday 11th May, returning home by train (after some well earned beers) on Saturday 14th.
