Under cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall, today we enjoyed a full-day, semi-guided tour of three famous châteaux in the Loire Valley. We met our driver/guide, a very pleasant and knowledgeable young French lady, and a retired couple from, Vancouver Canada, in front of the tourism office at 9:00AM. Charles-André van Loo (circa 1765). The three sisters pictured in the painting were presumed to have been mistresses of Louis XV, at various times, between 1732 and 1745: Louise Julie de Nesle, Pauline Félicité de Nesle and Marie Anne de Nesle.

Castles, moats, and draw bridges, my kind of places! The gardens are so elaborate and look like fun mazes! I can’t believe how much you squeezed into one day, you are troopers! ?

Holy Castles!!!! My goodness the travels alone in just today!!! Glad all was a successful journey and safe fun.. Loved all the sites am sure even prettier than in pictures.
