The Pink Granite Coast is part of the 1700km coastal path starts from Vitre in Ille et Vilaine and ends near Vannes, they name it Le Sentier des Douaniers until 1932, it was where customs officials used to fight against incoming smugglers. And today it is the (Grandes Randonnees) GR34 hiking trail, it is well indicate with signs and very popular by hiker. Along the coastal path you will see many oyster cultivating sectors on the sea, one a week during summer time you can an find organised tour that can show you how the cultivation work. On the trial sometimes you find a good beach, sometimes you walk through tiny villages with beautiful stone houses, come across a windmill, and of course the pink granite rock formation. There are many exit and entry points, so one needn't worry about time to retreat even if you didn't have a tent or sleeping bag, beside...you will always find a cafe or hotel in any village that you come through.
