Strasbourg is another magnificent city. Our canal night tour provided wonderful an insight into its history. As we motored around the canal, we passed through two of the century old "locks". It was here we began to see some of the wooden framed alpine houses that you would find in Germany. Strasbourg is the home of European Parliament and Administration, and also where the first printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in 1436. La Cathedral, a work of gothic style magnificence, is splendid and a must visit. It's also noted that they have enclosed their century old railway station in glass dome.

It is here that we were aware that we would experience the last of our French experience, but also where we began to notice the strong German influence.

Au revoir mes amies!
