Beautiful Copenhagen!Beautiful Copenhagen!Beautiful Copenhagen!

Aint it lovely? Just like a postcard hey. This part of copenhagen is called Nyhavn which translates to Newhaven!
Well, just in case you were wondering, we are still alive and have arrived safely in Copenhagen, Denmark. Actually, that was a couple of days ago, and we have since moved onto Sweden today, but thats a whole nother blog, so will inform you of denmark first.
We're having heaps of trouble finding a decent internet cafe that will let me upload the photos, so for now you're gonna have to do the boring thing and read, instead of just looking at the pictures til we can put them on. Which is a bugger, cos we've seriously got some great photos, but anyway, shouldnt be too long.
Okay, we started our 21 day Contiki in Copenhagen on Saturday night. Our group is made up of 44 crazy people, with the majority being aussies once again, and surprisingly more girls than boys!!
Anyway....the tour leader and bus driver are very cool people and are definitely going to show us a good time.
The bus driver took us through the speal about safety if the bus is involved in an accident and gave us the very wise advice that, if you need to break the windows to get out, dont choose the dark

window, cos the bus is most likely laying on that side, and you're gonna have to dig after you've broken through...hahaha...good advice from a typical aussie bus driver. He then went on to laugh about the size of the fire extinguisher, saying "good luck putting out 600 ltrs of diesal with that pissy thing, I'll yell out the instructions on how to use it while I'm running!!"
Anyway, formalities aside, we were taken on a tour of copenhagen then left to explore the city on our own for the rest of the day....and what a beautiful city it is!!
We saw the church that princess mary was married in and saw the changing of the guards at the castle where Mary and Frederik announced their engagement.
The guards take their jobs very seriously and arent allowed to talk or smile at tourists. We watched as one american woman had her photo taken with him and was trying really hard to get the guard to make a move, smile or something. She put her arm around him and he motioned her to move further away from him, so she started poking him in the arm. He yelled something very loud then

thumped his gun on the ground, so she ran off. Her husband yelled at her for stirring him up and said, I dont know what he just said, but I dont think it was good, lets get the hell out of here. Aaahhh tourists hey. We also sat and had hot chocolates on the banks of the canal with all the boats going past. Its cold up here in Scandinavia (compared to barmy thailand) but it is sooooo sooooooo nice, the tour is going to be amazing.
We're off to a swedish smorgasbord tomorrow night, followed by a trip to the ice-bar, which for those of you who dont know, is a building made entirely of ice. You even drink your drinks from ice cubes....cool huh!! (literally)
And......I can finally come out of the closet about being one of the worlds biggest ABBA fans...I know, sad but true, but of-course here in sweden (the birthplace of Abba) its completely acceptable....yeehah, there's even a museum dedicated to them.
Promise to get the photos on here asap, its just not the same without them hey!
Til then our friends.........

Hey c*@$'s. Now i'm loving the entries but i'm over the reading so much thing, so Tan if you could just highlight the main words in blue as to help wit my skimming that would be great! Miss ya's....... Well you Tan. Can't beleive how good of a time you guys are having, its kinda getting to me. I didn't think you'd have quite this much fun! Ok so thats all the nasty comments i have to say, accept there is one thing i'm struggling wit and thats the whole moped thing. From what i can gather it sounds just like your driving back here for as long as i can remember. I don't know wy your trying to act all tuff and innocent like you weren't a danger to society and your self! Still very funny to be reminded of both your shitty driving skills! You'd fit right in for sure! Good night, love ya's!
