England Dragonslayers v Denmark Vikings

On September 17, 2006 history was made in Copenhagen when the England Dragonslayers took on the Denmark Vikings. It was Europe's first international junior Aussie Rules match. Up for grabs was the inaugural King Canute Cup.

In a major upset, the young Dragonslayers 6.10 (46) defeated the Vikings 0.6 (6).

I have been involved in international footy since 1996, and this trip was definitely one of the highlights. The kids were incredibly well behaved and surpassed our greatest expectations.
