This city also will be called Praha or Prag depending on where you see it. It is quite impressive from a visual standpoint no matter what you call it.

When you first enter it it feels like a surreal surrounding with some mammoth old structures. If you haven,t done a lot of European travels, you have to have a while to adjust your eyes to it, kind of like when I first saw the Grand Canyon.

With the visual beauty stated, the city is generally more touristy than I like. If you never visited Europe it would be really easy to do this city. There is gelato on every corner of the old city and plenty of nightlife incliding music and casinos. I really found the city visuals to be even more impressive than at night.

Since I had already heard about the city, I only had a day and a half planned here. I did a 6 hour tour which covered foot, tram, and river cruise. I highly recommend something like this. Some city facts
1) 1989 Communism departed after 300,000 people protests on the Wrenclaw? square I started the tour in
2) Protestant movement started here before Martin Luther
3) Pilsner beer is from here
4) Charles the 4th is the major historical figure here
5) Czech culture was almost eliminated under the (German) speaking Habsburg empire, but was managed to be preserved

I think this city would be nice as a couple since it is very clean and romantic. With that said, I felt it a bit too touristy for me.
