Our walk took us through pretty much all of the town. The only area we didn't pass through was this corner where my guidebook tells me the old monastery and school were located.

The lights were just starting to come on in town as we made our way back across the bridge and up the hill to the castle. At least we weren't burdened with armsful of bags from the store Gail inspected. I don't think she bought anything after all that time.

Skipping along to events later that evening...After checking into our hotel and bringing our luggage up to our rooms, we prepared to head down into the hotel restaurant for supper.

This out-of-the-way castle hotel had a very impressive staircase.

At dinner the first order of business was to order a round of the "real" Budweiser. Delicious. No wonder the Czechs get upset about that American brewer using their good name. No comparison.

We were in the Czech Republic, eating in an old Austrian-style palace being served by a Dutch host, so why not have some Thai food?

We walked into an empty dining room, but by the time we were on our main course the place was packed. Most were Dutch relatives and friends of our host, Tom.
