Hello everyone,

Everyone said that Prague is beautiful and I agree. It didn't suffer a lot of damage during WWII. Except for an incredible amount of graffiti (worse than any other city that I have visited) they keep the buildings painted and in great shape. Czech Republic has been a democracy since 1989. It was a peaceful transition from communism, called The Velvet Revolution."

Enjoy the pictures.

Bye for now,
Donna

On a more serious note--this stone recognizes people who took their lives in the late 1960's to protest Communist rule. Their battle cry was, "Life without freedom is not worth living."

Pictures...
Incredible architecture - and so clean looking! You wouldn't think it would be marred with grafitti to look at the pictures. On the other hand, it should have kept people employed cleaning it up. Good to hear from you... Marg
