Well, we made it to Prague! or, as the locals call it, Praha. we had an interesting train ride, because of the flooding we had to make a detour thru slovakia and got stuck, so we were 90 minutes late. Eugen, a boy from Praha who i met last year when he was an exchange student, picked us up in his car and took us to the hotel his mom booked for us, Caesar's Palace. lets just say it is a 4 star hotel in the center of the city for an incredible rate! beautiful! but boy, are my feet tired!! yesturday we went for a walk to see the city as it was closing, which ment no people! i got a pic with the castle guards where you normally have to wait in a long line for. the guards are like in london, where they arent allowed to move; they just dont wear the funny hats... today, we took a tour around Prague Castle; lets say we had to take more than 2,000 stair steps going up and down all the medieval towers! at least the pictures were worth it!! i cant believe the history here! in russia, there was

view from the hill of Praha a lot of antique history but a lot was destroyed by the bolshavicks, whereas here it was pretty maintained! there is a big clock in the city center which does a dance every hour (Dineylands 'its a small world' has a clock that mimicks the praha clock). in czech, every meal seems to come with dumplings. there is a lot of gulash too. i was so tired by the end of the day eugen had to pull me out of the cafe to get me home! fortunately, i have a good place to sleep. funny though, i can only find 2 TV channels that are in the czech language! there is every other language all over but very little czech on the tv. i am learning some czech words, and at least am learning how to read czech. its not as confusing as it looks, but it is thought to be the 2nd hardest language to learn in the world! what a challenge 😉
