Today was our day trip to Kutna Hora to see Kostnice, the bone church in Sedlec (next to Kutna Hora). Since we had purchased our train tickets yesterday and familiarized ourselves with the train station a bit, the morning was a lot less stressful than it probably would have been had we not been prepared. Almost everything in the train station is only written in Czech, but there is an internationa... Read Full Entry

Construction on St. Barbara's Cathedral began in 1380 and took over 200 years to complete. Though the interior is currently being renovated, it is certainly impressive and worth having a look (unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures inside).

We ate our last Czech dinner in Old Town Square at the Staromestska Restaurace De la Croix. The menu was a little weak compared to every place else we've eaten here, but it was nice to enjoy looking out at Old Town Square while we ate. I had grilled chicken cooked with pear (with mango chutney and blue cheese sauces on the side) and fries. I think this would have been better served with regular potatoes, but the fries were still good.

Heeheehee, it certainly sounds like you're seeing all kinds of sights on your trips! Am so happy to hear the bone church was every bit as beautiful and mysterious as it sounded. I cannot wait to see your photos of that especially! Sounds like you had some pretty unusual food combinations in the evening! Sorry to hear you weren't able to try a last Palacinky before leaving the country.
