After our little jolly in Slovenia, we headed down the coast and into Croatia.

Plitvice National Park, located in the moutains of Croatia, is a series of 16 large lakes lined up and seperated with little traverstine (mossy / planty / algae) barriers. It's absolutely stunning and we spent the day walking around the lower lakes and upper lakes using a ferry in between.

From Plitvice we drove to Split to catch a ferry to Hvar island. We checked into the fanciest campground ever seen to enjoy a few days with cicadas and a pebble beach 20 metres from our tent door. Just opened, the bar tenders let Dave behind the bar to mix up some cocktails as they didn't know any and still had the shaker in a box out the back.

After a few days in Hvar we drove back to Trieste for the night before flying back home to sunny Blighty.
