Have to make a correction in the last blog, that should read, with prices that Aussies could be jealous of. So that is out of the way. We had our first day of rain. In a way that was good for Liz for she had a problem with her leg again. We prosponed the place in Verona and stayed another day in Korenica. We visited a Doctor there, who wrote a new prescription of antibiotics. The leg was very red and needed a rest. The reason for visiting Korenica, was the Plitvicka lakes and waterfalls. It is something you have to see and is an UNESCO protected area. You need approximately four hours to do the walk. For Liz that was out of the question. Liz pushed me to do the walk on my own. So at least one of us would see it and take photos and video. Not a nice thing to do but there was no other option. Left Liz sitting in the chair outside with the company of Simba the little pub from the Host. We had been looking the day before how to get there, 15 minutes by car and big car parks to take care of them. Tickets are 120 Kuna about $20. Starting on the walk I was happy Liz did not go. Difficult walk trails with tracks made of timber, sometimes gravel. It is for ever going and stopping taking photos and video. Lots of people all around for the same reason. It gives you a superb view of the lakes and the amazing waterfalls. A panorama bus train takes you up to the third level and the idea is you walk you way back, following the tracks. Sometimes you have to wait your turn, to be able to take your perfect picture. Twice you cross the lakes with an electric driven boat to the other side, and continue your journey down. You see the most amazing sides, unforgettable and a must, if you visit Croatia. I returned back wit a sad feeling for Liz, who missed out on the beautiful place. Our Host had been looking well after Liz. They have been very helpful to us. We had a good night rest and after breakfast we had to say Good Bye to William and Suzanne our Hosts. Suzanne felt very sad seeing us leave. The Tom Tom took us back to the Autobahn, after sending us over some nice small winding roads, where we enjoyed the last of Croatian scenery. The Autobahn was something else. Fast traffic and rows and rows of trucks. The amount of traffic is enormous. We also did some border crossings, but only one passport control. At the border with Italy was no control what so ever. You just drive in. The Tom Tom did an excellent job and took us straight to the hotel in Verona. Bye for now Liz & Allan
